BROCKEN 5.6<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

Inspired by the mysterious natural phenomenon of the Brocken spectrum, Yasuhiro Chida created the interactive installation Brocken 5.6<\/em>: rays of light penetrate the dark space through thousands of holes, creating the illusion that the light follows the people. Chida’s works deal with the sensory perception of our environment, changes in it and our reaction to them. Together with \u00d3lafur Eliasson and James Turrell, the Japanese artist was named one of the nine most remarkable digital artists in the world by Artdex in 2019.KLANGLICHT 2023 <\/p>\n\n

Biography:<\/strong>Yasuhiro Chida is a light artist from Japan. He studied architecture at Musashino Art University in Tokyo. Influenced by his personal experiences in mountaineering, ice climbing and caving, he explores this special spatial awareness in nature, as well as the impressive, physical sensory impressions in his immersive installations. In this way, the artist creates impressive experiences in public spaces using often extremely simple means. In 2019, Yasuhiro Chida was awarded the audience prize at the International Light Art Award 2019 in Unna. He is also creating his own art museum, the Museum of Spatial Art in Tatsuno, Nagano, Japan. <\/p>\n\n
