Their creator, Australian artist Amanda Parer, calls them “intruders”, although the two glowing giants with long spoons have purely peaceful intentions. Under the title “Intruders XL”, two oversized rabbits positioned themselves in direct line of sight of each other at KLANGLICHT 2019 and wanted to achieve one thing above all with their presence: a smile on people’s faces. From the main square, people gazed in amazement at the size of the figure in the immediate vicinity until they spotted the glowing hare in the distance on the Schlossberg. <\/p>\n\n

Under the collective ‘Parer Studios’<\/strong>, Amanda Parer<\/strong> creates objects for public spaces, sculptures and paintings that explore nature and its fragility. The role of humans in this structure is always critically scrutinized. The Australian artist has received great international acclaim, particularly for her imposing installations, which can take up entire (urban) landscapes. The “Intruders XL” have already been illuminated in over 26 major cities worldwide, including London, Perth, Paris and Boston. <\/p>\n\n
